Hi, I’m Steve.
I’m an ex-FitTech startup founder and FitTech enthusiast.
Fitness has always been an integral part of my life. From running or swimming to lifting weights or CrossFit to yoga or mediation. I’ve always found solace in fitness. That’s my church.
After serving as an Army Officer and entering the civilian workforce, I grew an affinity for technology. For all the possibilities it offers and the value it promises.
The two interests eventually meet when I get the idea to start a company that developed a smart fitness tracking platform for the gym.
Unfortunately, it didn’t become the next Fitbit, but it did expose me to all the trends and products being built, and to what makes great fitness technology products.
That’s when I had the idea for FitTech Report.
The consumer fitness technology market is saturated!
There’s so much fitness technology on the market these days, it’s hard to sift through it all.
Some tech is great, and a lot of tech is garbage… And sometimes it’s hard to tell past the hype, AI, gamification, analytics and beautiful UI.
I know the feeling of excitement when you get a new gadget.
That surge of motivation it comes with.
But after a few weeks the novelty wears off and you realize it’s just not giving you any or enough value.
And so, it sits in your drawer or on your shelf collecting dust. Or on your phone unopened for months taking up storage space. Or worse, quietly syphoning a monthly subscription fee until you realize you never cancelled it.
FitTech Report’s mission is to be your voice of value for fitness technology. A source to find great new fitness technology products and to know which are not worth your time and money.
It’s purpose is to maintain an unbiased position, and report only on affiliated or sponsored products that truly add value.
My hope is that FitTech Report can help you when considering your next fitness gadget!
